The font which I used in the above graphic was created and donated by a wonderful person. Please respect her wishes in using this unique gift. Below are a few of her words, which are included in the zip file along with her font, sample & copyright info. The file is below as well:
"This LCR font is freeware, and was created by me, LeChefRené, as a tribute
to America in the wake of the horrific terrorist attack on the United States on
September 11, 2001. It is dedicated to the memory of all those who died in that
attack."
In my work online over the years for missing and abducted children, I have made friends with a vast array of people across the nation. One of those friends is a remarkable man, Paul Rodriguez. Paul is the managing editor of Insight magazine, who has always been there for us. Well, this tragedy has sadly touched Paul very close ... and he has been doing all he can for everyone involved. Paul's dear friend was Barbara Olson ... the woman who called her husband before her plane was flown into the Pentagon.
Paul asked Insight's graphic director, Charles "Hap" Hazard, to create something in tribute to those lost September 11, 2001. With Paul's permission I present those graphics reduced in size, as well as his email allowing for everyone to view them. First, the graphics.

Words from me have not come easy these days. I suppose that my reaction to this grief and violence was to seclude myself away from almost everyone. This event has been traumatic for me personally, from bringing back memories of when I was in Oklahoma during the Murrah building explosion which took one of my friends -- down to the fact that so far there are two wonderfully loving people from my mailing list family still missing in the World Trade Center devastation.
Note: On September 21, 2001 I received word that both Wooer's, Mark & Anne, were confirmed as having passed on. Sorry, I just cannot use the four letter word, which has been used so much in the last few weeks about all those now gone, to speak of these two angels. I will miss you both so very, very much. Thank you for your love, laughter, and friendship.
I was talking in IM with my friend Craig Deanto when the Trade Center was attacked. From that time we have kept in touch, at times both of us in tears, and other times both of us numb from all the emotions. We both decided that when I was finally able to do this website in honor of all the lives forever touched by this horrific act, it would include his song, "Ribbons of Hope". Even as we agreed upon "Ribbons", a new song was filling Craig's head & heart, and thus "America, Her Flame Carries On"©2001 was born.
If you have something special you wish to say -- there has been a guestbook added below for everyone to come and speak to each other, leave messages or even to rant.
I f you have created a special graphic for the use of the world, like the ones above from myself and others, please e-mail it to me. I will add pages of them to this site for all to use in honor of all the people whose innocent lives were taken from us.
May God Bless America, the World, and all it's inhabitants.
